This story draws a lot from my own experience as a kid, learning to crochet from my Memere (my grandmother). At the time of publication, she's 98 years old, and we still get together and talk shop about crochet.
Lucie finds herself in a battle for her immortal soul. The only way to win is if she out-crochets a devil, and somehow faces the demons inside herself.
